I have always wondered if working in an environment in which fear is the main ally of the “leaders” generates the productivity required for the performance indexes to be reached at the desired levels, my answer would be no.

Fear usually intimidates the staff creating an environment prone to errors and hiding the truth, usually people begin to hide the failures and even focus on looking responsible instead of seeking to solve the problems and reach the desired goal .

The work environment created by a good leader should be free from fear, leaders should create an environment in which people are convinced to do their job. Each person must feel comfortable being able to express the problems or errors and their possible solutions with sincerity and responsibility.

Each company must understand that the most important asset is the people who move the machinery and not the machinery itself. Companies live on ideas, and these come from the human being and its diversity.

Cultivate emotional intelligence in which the abilities of each team member can be exploited, encouraging them, motivating them to express themselves, it will be possible to find better and more profitable solutions to problems than trying to only comply with productivity indexes by forcing each person to generate ideas that in the end lose the main objective of the company.

The company is a team in which everyone has roles and responsibilities. It is in the good leader that each one understands their role and responsibility and assumes it in such a way that we can all learn and evolve from the mistakes we make .

We must avoid creating environments where fear predominates, creating trust and environments in which the communication channels are clear and people know the work agenda, will ensure that the objectives are met in a fluid and timely manner.

Finding the solution to the problem first and not the one responsible should be the north, since it will save time in the implementation of the solution. Then you can deal with the rest by taking preventive actions to eliminate or reduce these problems.
